If you haven’t heard of Frocktails before, it’s a event that has been run in Wellington and Christchurch for years as sell out events and only a few times in Auckland (the last being in 2022 - see Dianne, Rachael and I in our glam below) and I think it’s time we did it again! 

It’s a cocktail event for the sewing/embroidery/crafting community - frock + cocktails = ⭐️ Frocktails ⭐️

The basic concept is you make your own outfit for the event - it can be something from scratch, something you buy and change or an existing outfit you decorate (e.g. with embroidery) and then you have an awesome event to wear it to. You don’t HAVE to make your own outfit, you can of course wear anything you like, but I hope we can inspire you have something you’ve made on your outfit to show off (even if it’s just a name badge or bag).

There are a number of spot prizes etc on the night along with goodie bags full sewing themed goodies for you to take home. I will release more details about this as I get sponsors on board and work through the details.

I need your help!

This is the first time I’m running the Frocktails event so I’m looking to put a bit of my own spin on it with some “help you make your outfit” sessions in the lead up to the event. How cool would it be if you learnt some new skills about sewing, embroidery and altering your clothes to fit you AND then you also had somewhere cool to wear your outfit to?
