Exciting developments... as a way to thank our supporters (you!) following our last lockdown, we have decided to offer our Rag Rug Workshop this weekend for FREE*!!
If you’ve always wanted to try this, are interested in historical craft techniques or are just interested in learning a new skill, then this is the workshop for you!!
Please note, because of this change in programming, there will be a slight change to the workshop in that we will not be creating a whole welcome mat. Instead, you will learn the techniques to continue at this home and take home a sample you have created.
Join us for the morning and start creating your own rag rug. Created using a pegging system, the Fencible early settlers used these to keep floors warm underfoot.
All materials are included and you will be able to finish this off at home.
Free parking available. Café open for food and drink purchases.
*usual museum admission charges apply.
Bookings essential.
