Jax Burger Shack, 2/64 Ormiston Road, East Tāmaki

Jax Burger Shack is a burger icon in East Auckland, and a special mention goes to their Kiwi Burger. A delectable NZ Angus beef patty with cheddar cheese, fried egg, beetroot, lettuce, tomato, red onion, tomato chutney, finished with their secret-recipe aioli. There must be something pretty incredible in that secret sauce, because the burger is absolutely incredible!

The Corner, 143 Picton Street, Howick

Back into Howick at The Corner, and we found two incredible burgers, their Chrispy Chicken burger which has crispy chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese and aioli. And their Kiwi burger featuring a juicy beef patty, bacon, caramelised onion, cheddar cheese and aioli. Both served with a side of fries.

The Franklin, 129 Beachlands Road, Beachlands

Hightailing it back to Beachlands, we discovered The Franklin’s incredible range of burgers.

Their Buffalo fried chicken burger was especially delicious with Buffalo fried chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese and dill mustard ranch.

Their beer battered fish burger was a refreshing burger with iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickle and tartare.

A special mention to their Franklin double smash beef burger which we don’t have a picture of, but do yourselves a favour and grab one of those! An absolutely to-die-for beef burger, with bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, onion, dill pickle, burger sauce. You’re welcome!

A little hidden gem in the burger world can be found in Flatbush at Burger Junction. Their Chicken and bacon burger was tender, juicy and incredibly tasty!

Stopping in at Howick Village Café, you have got to check out their mouth-watering pulled pork burger with slow-cooked pulled pork shoulder, apple slaw, hoisin sauce served with chunky fries and house-made aioli, it’s unbelievably tasty!

Drool-worthy beef burgers were found at The Apothecary, with a size option available for every appetite. 3 patties for $24, 2 patties for $18 or 1 pattie for just $12. Beef patties, with onion, gorgeous melted cheese, gherkins and a mouth-watering burger sauce. Well worth a visit!
